Bible Institute in Manaus.

Portuguese "Trinitarian" version of the Bible.

Mt 28:20 "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:..."
_____________________________________
Our Bible institute called "Instituto Batista Biblico do Amazonas" or "IBBA" was started by Joe Hawkins and Cecil Henderson in 1971, and has been the only option for interior people to be trained in Bible studies. The institute was designed to bring men in from the interior for three months, teach them, and then send them back for three months to help their sending
Church and to practice what they had learned.
The student will study during six semesters of three months each over a period of three years, three months of study and three months back home.
Classes are held in the mornings from seven a.m. until noon on week days. On the week ends the students participate and help in our local churches in Manaus so that they can get some experience under supervision.
They will study the Bible for 1800 hours during the course and every major book of the Bible will be taught. They are also required to fill out an activity report every week .
We have blessed with some good men, and have preachers, teachers and missionaries spread all over Brasil. They will take our place in the future.

CURRENT EVENTS:
Rebecca was given a clean bill of health in the month of June after a one year treatment for leprosy. We praise the Lord for his goodness and that he allowed her to be cured from that dreaded disease. She came down with dengue fever in February of 2011 and we spent three and one half months in the USA to let her recuperate and be gone during the dengue epidemic that swept Manaus. She is recuperating and is back into the church work and public school. We thank all of those who prayed in her behalf.
